Is there a difference between human ashes and pet ashes?

Not in how they are handled. Cremation ashes from a dog, cat or horse have the same structure and are added to the resin in exactly the same way, with the same result. The amount is also the same: about a teaspoon is enough.

How much fur or horsehair is needed?

Accepted Answer

A small lock, comparable to a teaspoon, is enough. For horses, we use mane or tail hair. The hair remains visible in the resin. Anything we do not use is returned by registered mail.

Which pets can this be made for?

Accepted Answer

Any pet whose ashes or fur you have, including a dog, cat, horse, rabbit or another animal. For horses, we use mane or tail hair. If you are unsure whether something can be used, ask us. We will be glad to advise you.

Can I combine ashes or fur from two pets?

In many cases, yes. Contact us before ordering so we can discuss what is possible for your chosen jewel.

How long will it take to receive my jewel?

Accepted Answer

The sending kit is dispatched within 24 hours. Once your ashes or fur arrive at the atelier, a silver jewel is usually ready within a few business days. A solid gold jewel or a ring outside the standard sizes takes four to five weeks. Your jewel is shipped free, registered and insured.

Can I wear the jewel every day?

Yes. Every jewel is made from 925 sterling silver, or solid 9, 14 or 18 kt gold on request, and designed for daily wear. Remove it during heavy work, swimming or contact with chemicals to keep the resin in good condition for longer.

Question 7

I no longer have ashes or fur. Can I still have a memorial jewel made?

Accepted Answer

Yes. Choose a color that reminds you of your pet, perhaps the color of their fur or eyes, or simply a shade that feels right. The price is always the same, with or without an inclusion.
